Our First Encounter - October 2012
And now we switch to spanish...
It would be impossible for me not to mention some science on this blog ;-P
Human pregnancy lasts 40-42 weeks and is divided into three trimesters. In the 3rd quarter is when the baby can survive outside the womb. When I met Alinna we did not know if it was a girl or boy. It takes up to 12 weeks for this to show on ultrasounds. She was still an indefinite tiny tadpole physically. Genetically the gender is determine from the moment the baby is conceived. We can not deny that we wanted a baby girl but we would have loved a boy with the same intensity.
Our physical encounter was short because I had to return to MN but I know we are genetically programmed to love each other unconditionally :-)
So Yaira is adding a baby girl to the many more beautiful girls in our family.
And if you think that Yaira has shown some glow during her pregnancy (maybe I have not seen her but I'm sure it's true) let me tell you that this indeed is physically possible. During pregnancy the amount of blood increases by 50%. The extra blood ends up showing up in your skin, particularly the cheeks. Hormonal changes make the oil glands to become more active, resulting in softer, shinier skin. This combined with the joy that emanates from within = pink cheeks and shinny skin = a GLOWING MOMMY to BE!
Feel free to post in this blog pictures of those beautiful moments where Alinna has been present and titi T has not.
Until next time!
